Labour Day

It is Labour Day today, I want to start writing again after stopping for almost 3 years:

1. No Kfit classes for me today, time to heal my aches.
2. Meeting my friend SW and his primary school mate, aka my high school mate whom i am not close with: LY
3. Going to stay at my place tonight
4. A friend asked me to watch Collateral Beauty, not sure what it is but will find time to watch
5. A song kept playing in my head...will share the song later: "and i don't wear makeup..and i don't wear makeup"..

I love my time

Hello all,
I don't mean to brag, but I really love my time now. I am so grateful for everyday. I wake up alive, and I wake up not slaving myself.

After I officially stopped going to the office (I quit), my mind has been very active trying to think what I can do, what I want to do. My yoga teacher used to tell me: "good things will come if you allow it".

Currently I am doing several things at the same time:
1. Getting my pipe fixed....kind of major and involves hacking...but it should be done by this week.
2. Answering phone calls and SMS for the yoga centre I go to.
3. Getting an interview for a virtual recruiter role, office is based in Dubai.
4. Going for as many yoga classes as I can.
5. Spending time to fetch mom/niece whenever they need me.
6. Researching on vegetarian dishes, this week I will learn about chickpeas and aubergine.
7. Finishing Paulo Coelho books, currently still reading "The Pilgrims".

Imagine I can't do all this if I was still stuck in the office. Doing things others asked me to do...saying yes to all clients and my boss even I know the job is impossible. I hope I won't go back to that kind of life again...selling my time, energy and soul in exchange of money.

Here is an article which inspired me few months ago that made me plucked up my courage to resign: http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2006/07/10-reasons-you-should-never-get-a-job/

As of today, I am not ashamed to tell you: yes, I love my beautiful life.

Goodie Bags

I have been out of the corporate world for close to a month. How time flies!!
This was an initial little business I wanted to do. Making goodie bags for girls, boys, or even adults. However, I am too shy to tell anyone. So I am not sure how would I get any business.

Anyway, almost every week there are something new. New ideas, new people telling me things, or old people telling me new things. It goes on and on.

I don't have any expectation, just let my life surprise me. I wake up not knowing what will happen next.

I am happy to say..after 3 months plus of staying here, I finally able to sleep. I had been sleeping 2 nights without interruptions.

Here are my initial batch of goodie bags.

Vintage Robots

I love vintage robots...I only have one at the moment in my living area. My friend Shelley asked me to buy one "partner" for my robot. Hmm...should I?

New Life

I am staying on my own now. Means I can cook whatever I want, wake up and go to sleep at whatever hours, put flowers around the house, have a book shelf to myself, do yoga anytime I want..entertain any friends I want (if any)...most importantly, be responsible to myself.

Ya, the key I think is to be responsible to myself.

Take care of myself.

Yesterday was the first night I came home late. I always wanted to much to have this freedom to come home at whatever time I want. However only yesterday I came back 12 something, midnight.

I always have disrupted sleep...and sometimes there are some voices to my head, especially when I am half asleep. Yesterday a voice came to my head: "this could be your dying bed".

"This could be your dying bed". How morbid...but how true. Anyway, my bed is not too bad for a dying bed, I decided. :)

Positivity wins.

Frootful - September

Since it is September..let's listen to this. I scribbled "frootful" on my diary earlier this year (Jan 2012).

Back from Osaka

I am back from Osaka after a 10days trip. I saw many shrines, old buildings, Billiken, crazy subway lines, a lot a lot of people.

I have experienced hotsprings twice.

I have eaten takoyaki and okonomiyaki, sashimi, ramen, oyakodon, unagi, sushi, japanese curry from Coco House and of course, local beer.

Most important of all, I have experienced walking whole day and night and not falling sick. :)

I have experienced having big blister on my feet and when I poke it, it sprayed all the way to the ceiling! :p

Language is a problem..I realised I have not been to a fully non-English speaking country, but I had no fear.

Photos..maybe later. Anyway I am glad to be back. :)

Books

Last week Agnes from meditation class recommended a book: Conversations with God, by Neale Donald Walsch.

Today my friend Peter whom I not met for over 3 years recommended a book: The Primal Blueprint.

I told them I will read the books. This is a reminder for myself...make sure I do.

Flower of Life

My Yoga Sutra class in Janda Baik was deep deep deep for me. It got me thinking...a lot. I was weak and tired when I came back...but I needed solace so I went to see my friend in Klang.

I was then being introduced, or rather reminded about Flower of Life. I found this very mystical and amazing. I want to learn more. I don't know anything but I am drawn to it:

I want to know more. This post is to remind myself to learn more about this.

Suee's Bday

Today lunch with Suee. Supposedly wanted to go to Royal Selangor Pewter but heard it is at Setapak!! So went to pick up Suee and she was kind enough to drive (using my car) to Umarani for banana leaf rice. Yum!

After that went drop Suee at Honda workshop to pick up her car and went separately to Rui Bakery. I have always wanted to try the cakes in Rui. The smell of baking was really pleasant..we had miffy shape cookies and a piece of strawberry shortcake. The coffee is so so..from Coffex but it is not bad. We had fun eating and taking silly photos.

:D

When I got home, I just remember I didn't gave a little present to Suee...that I have bought earlier for her. Aiks...

Yoga Retreat

I know I have been spending money...but we can never get too much pampering right? Moreover this one needs to do some work. How? Anyone interested? HML I wish you can go with me...but you are so far away. RM350 from 8.30am - 1.30pm. Price is RM350 or RM290 (early birds). Date: 16 June 2012. So how, should I go? Or should I just do some minutes of yoga at home and go to some spa around here? More info here: http://yogahui.com/2012/03/27/yoga-pamper-retreat-16-june-2012/

Red Cabbage

Yesterday I wanted to buy brocolli to with pasta...but you know what...only one very small pathetic looking brocolli in the entire supermarket..which I can manage in half a bite..and it costs RM4.99! So forget it, I got myself a decent looking red cabbage for RM1.70, enough for me to cook for 5 times, seriously!

So I stir fried some minced garlics, red cabbage, an egg and some angel's hair and (cherry tomatoes, romaine, butterhead)--I cooked very quickly for these 3. It was delicious and I was filled with energy for the whole day...which later allowed me to wash my car under the hot sun.

Today I tried to do the same..anyway it is another 4 times to do ...I only cooked very little angel's hair this time. I did a variation...put in a chopped tomato instead of small ones. Still with minced garlic but I put in some dried shrimps...*sizzles sizzles sizzles*...voila..fantastic lunch!

I really love red cabbage so I really have to blog this so more people will appreciate red cabbage. <3

Once A Year

Today I want to compile a list of things I would like to do once a year:

1. Dental check
2. Health check
3. Hammam spa (i love this Turkish bath and gommage in Bangsar Village, it is not cheap that's why I think once a year is good and i can have something to look forward to. I heard they will be opening one in Publika).
4. Crabs eating with sis.
5. Liver and gallstone flush (i think the last time i did it was 2010, it's time...)
6. Book fair..be it the one in KL Convention or places like Kelana Jaya or The Mines..i want i want...but if i am really deprieved, i will go to BookXcess in Amcorp Mall.

Let me know if you have any suggestions for me. I used to donate blood once a year, but the last time i was agitated by the people in the blood bank, don't think i want to go again.

Orange

I just realised I have been lacking orange color in my whole life. My unlucky colors are violet and orange...so I never go near these colors...although I prefer violet to orange. I almost never worn an orange dress/shirt/blouse before. I know that my Sacral Chakra is blocked...that is why my creativity and sexuality is blocked too. I almost have never been confortable in my own skin in my whole life..although it has improved a little bit already in the later years.

I am gonna start eating more oranges and introduce orange to my wardrobe. Be it a shirt or just an underwear!

Camel Pose

Today I went to my weekly yoga class, after having stopped for 2 weeks: first week-sick, last week-ayurvedic treatment and crab-eating with sis.

I was 5 minutes late today...but I think the centre's clock is 5 minutes faster :S So I missed a bit of the warm-up. Today's class was dynamic and quite intense. I sweated like crazy today. I must remember to bring an extra t-shirt the next time. There were only 3 students today.

Instructor Raymond introduced a sequence of vinyasa movements and towards the end, we did Camel Pose and The Wheel. I did Camel Pose well and I really feel good about it. Not a big fan of The Wheel but I tried. :) Btw just read from the internet Camel Pose(not camel toe :)) can help to heal headache. Try it yourself!

The Wheel

Samkkya

Last week I went out with my sis Lay Kuan for our once-a-year sisters event. We have this once a year crab eating event :) Last year was in Greenview in PJ, this year..Dak Fook in Jaya One.

OK before that we went for an ayurvedic treatment. We wanted to try the oil dripping treatment. However it was rainy that day, the manager (Jane) told us it is not advisable to try it that day as we might catch a cold due to that. So we just had the oil massage and hot compressed treatment. I think it really fix some of my health problem. The price is RM228 for one and a half hours. We had oily and stinky hair after the treatment and we cannot shower for at least 3-4 hours. I felt extremely sleepy after the treatment...which is normal reaction according to the masseur.

It is really good and i will surely go again.

My New Life-2012

OK, I am back...by popular demand...errr...I mean...one demand...and you know who you are!

So what's going on lately? I work from home every Mondays and Wednesdays. The rest of the working days I work 8am-5pm. Why? Because I am the driver to my niece. :)

I still go on with my yoga classes and postcrossings.
Driving is getting better...but there are a few more scratches....

So far in 2012 I have been to Jakarta, Bangkok and Singapore. Hope there are more to come.
