Yee Yan

Last Monday Yee Yan left a bag of goodies she got for me from Taiwan. I was very sleepy when I found this, but I thought it is such a nice view from my gate with the bag.

On Sunday we met again. I took her to Departure Lounge, we had coffee and some food. I love the turkey BTL sandwich. Awesome!! Even the coleslaw was delicious!

We also shared a pancake with banana. That was good too.

Most importantly, the company was very good. I don't see Yee Yan very often after we came back to KL. Maybe less than 10 times. It was nevertheless an awesome outing. We had great conversations and I felt very good after that. For a person so much younger, she is very determined and taught me about strength and courage. I will miss her when she goes to Singapore.

I don't feel good

Since I came back on last Saturday, I fell sick. This time the flu is a bit different. It came with a painful sorethroat of 2 days, then start with running nose, first day watery and second day onwards thick yellowish phylem.

I still come to work because lots to do. Just hoping that my colleagues are fine.

I look like this now.

Yogyakarta (Part II)

We bought Carica (some fruits of papaya varietal), a bit tasteless though. It is a popular snack, marinated in sugar water. Passion fruit, the seed was from Thailand but was planted in Wonosobo. We bought some just to try.

We saw a little boy playing kite on the roof of some building near the water castle.

We tried the street jamur, a bit too sweet for my liking, but it is supposed to be good, just like our herbal tea.

Once upon a time, one of the King's past time was to sit and watch concubines swim in this pool.

My lunch at a grand buffet style restaurant call Ndalem Ngabean.

Our dessert.

This is a mystical place. I can feel something here. Candi Kalasan.

We stayed here the last 3 nights at Duta Garden. We had our swim on the last night.

Yogyakarta (Part I)

Yes, I am back from my 6 days trip in Yogyakarta. I have seen many beautiful candi (temples). I will share some pics here:

We took pictures with local students. I have been stopped twice another 2 times by other students in other areas too. I think they like taking pictures with tourists.

We had ayam goreng with nasi and ayam soto for lunch on the first day we arrived. I was very hungry and it was delicious.

Borobudur was spectacular. We had to wake up early, about 4am to see the sunrise. It is a pity we are not allowed to go to the top floor with the stupas. I took this picture from the 5th floor.

Everyone have to wear a sarong to come inside Borobudur.

This is one of my favourite picture. We were in the car and we saw a bunch of bebek (duck) walking back home with the guidance of the owner. We went down the car and took a picture. Love it.

We caught the next sunrise the next day. Those are my hands, by the way.

Meditation in Dieng.

Colour Lake in Wonosobo.
