Stench

Last week I didn't sleep in my house for a few days last week. I was away cats sitting at my friend's house as well we busy to be a jimui on Christmas day. I slept in my room Monday and Tuesday night but I cannot help to realise a stench lingering somewhere in my room. I searched high and low for where the stench was from but I couldn't find.

I couldn't sleep too, of course.

So at 1.30am, something just came to my mind. Few days ago I saw a snake-looking red eyed lizard...and I shut the window very quickly...could it be....that I have squashed it??? I on the lights and checked it out..opened the window and it released more stench. True enough there was a squashed lizard there...chin facing up...and the chin was white. AAAARRRGGHHHHH.

I couldn't sleep.

I waited for mom to wake up and tell her the story. She was kind enough to remove this for me. My mom loves me a lot. I really can't do this alone.

I m working since Nov 2010

Hi all,
I feel bad that I have stopped writing. I don't know why, I have just started work for like 2 months but I think I am really quite busy :P
I drive to work and back home everyday! Vrrrooomm! Hope I am getting better but parking is still not so great.
Eating here is kind of pricey though. Although this is a nice neighbourhood, I do miss having tasty and cheap food! So I welcome my friends who wants to drive me out for lunch, away from this place!

xoxo

Easy Banana Bread

Today I baked this. I was thinking it will be a bread but I guess it is actually tastes like banana cake. I didn't have Vanilla Essence so I omit that. I didn't even have a measuring cup so I was just guessing the flour. Luckily it turned out okay. Here is the recipe:

EASY BANANA BREAD

1 1/2 c. self-rising flour

3 bananas, mashed

2 eggs

1/2 stick butter

1 tsp. vanilla

1 c. sugar

Cream together butter, eggs and sugar until smooth. Add bananas and vanilla; beat well. Mix in flour. Bake at 325 degrees for about 1 hour or until golden brown

Pom Pom Genki Kid

I have this in my car since few weeks ago. Got it from Bulan in Plaza Mt Kiara but I think people should be selling this everywhere in Thailand. I think it is from Thailand.

Love the hair. Su Ee's pom pom's purchase reminded me of this. Nice right?

Mid Autumn Festival

This year's Mid Autumn Festival falls on 22 Sept. I think this is a very important festival for family get together. I love this even more than lunar Chinese New Year because it is very relaxed and fun.

This year I helped to cook. I went to market early in the morning. I had no idea how much the fish or vege costs but it ws really fun! I made springrolls that night. Although it was not well made but I had fun making them.

My nieces love playing the lanterns and so did I! Here are pics from that night. We played on my mom's balcony!

what have i been doing, part 2.

Yes, most of you know that I am not working again. This week has been an eventful week. After a difficult time, I am once again free as a bird. So this week I went to book fair at KLCC. Before that a guy from Fiverr asked for a message to be photographed with Petronas Twin Towers. I get paid for $4, Fiverr gets $1. I gave him this picture and he was happy.

I bought a lot of books and some karaoke DVDs this week and I am happy about it.

Today I drove all the way to Cheras and got lost. Yeah, what's new. So I met Dave outside of Leisure Mall and he guided me back to his place to park his car there, and then we were ready for KLPac. I love KLPac.

Some pics from KLpac. We went there to enjoy the scenery, and we had fun playing Rummikub there. I won the game :)

what have i been doing?

hey friends..
2 of you asked how come I did not update my blog. I am sorry that i have not been doing updates for almost a month. Me Bad.

For those who know, yes, I have been jobless for some weeks but that does not mean I am very free. I spent my days visiting my ex-colleague who stay nearby. We go TTDI park, we swim, we do yoga, we play Fatal Frame II(Crimson Butterfly). OK, I also finished a The Apprentice by Tess Gerritsen and now reading Eating Right for Your Type.

I have to tell you this. My life is FANTASTIC!

I know I cannot be a Lady of Leisure for a long time so I will start working soon, say September 2010. I am joining one of my previous company as a Consultant.

:) Hope everyone is happy and healthy. Will blog again soon.

Guitar felt

Last Saturday spent about 2 hours making this awful looking guitar. I lost my other felt and only has white and blue left. I poked my finger and bleed in the process. I haven't been sewing for some time.

Philip requested for a guitar for the gingerbread man felt i made in 2006. I forgot how small the gingerbread man is. I ended up making a guitar way bigger than the little man! Instead of having the gingerbread man play the guitar, i can only glue behind him as if he is carrying the big guitar.

I will try to make things more perfect the next time.

Neti Pot

Last Saturday I got this neti pot from a Yoga event and bazaar in Bangsar Sports Complex. I got it for RM10. I am amazed it is not hard to use and it fact i feel more 'clean' after washing my nostrils. I start wth my left one first...tilting the pot to one side and pour the warm salt water and let it run through my right nostril.

Okay here is the way to mix the mixture. The total water should be 500ml. I use 400ml cold water and 100ml hot water to make the water lukewarm. Then i desolve half a teaspoon of unrefined salt. Mix in a bigger containter. Pour the mixture into the neti pot 4 times, that is 2 times for each side.

The guy who demonstrated to me looks fine and healthy. He said he has been practising this for 7 years. I am gonna try doing this every morning. Too bad i missed it today..because well..my alarm clock did not wake me up! It is true!!

Blue Wednesday

Last night i went to Blue Wednesday at The Annexe Gallery, Central Market, featuring Flica, Liyana Fizi, Figure of Speech & Zailla Lee. I went there with Zito. Initially when Zito asked me I told him i couldn't make it because Wednesday night is always yoga night. Since yoga class is full, i chose to go Blue Wednesday.

I am glad yoga class was full that day...because i wouldn't want to miss this. After being there last night, i know i have would have too much to lose if i didn't come to Blue Wednesday last night.

First act was Liyana Fizi, it was refreshing and sweet. Even the malay songs she sang was so sweet and cute.

Second act was the abstract Flica, playing electro-acoustic music with high volume and low lightings. Although it may not suit everyone, i found myself enjoying it.

Third act was Zailla Lee who is a petite lady with very good showmanship. The crowd was lighten up and clap along. She has Jewel and Tracy Chapman combination. Anyway it was interesting and fun to watch and the collaboration between Zailla and Figure of Speech was awesome. Figure of Speech raps so well with every word sounded very clever to me!

I was very happy last night. One of my best night ever!

Yellow roses in office

Today me and my colleagues went out for Ah Koong fishballs in Pudu and then visited the flower distributor next door. We had to buy something, so we chose these yellow roses.

Initially we put it inside a self-made fancy vase made by plastic containter and paper bag from Isetan, but the girls think that they are not pretty enough, so Shawna transfered it into a glass jug.

Anyway it is all beautiful to me. I love fresh flowers.

Some of the things i bought

A weekend in Bangkok =fun

The last time i was in Bangkok was in 2006. Last week i went again! It was fun!!! For your information, Bangkok is OK to travel now. In fact it is very quiet now.

We love to shop and eat there! I personally love the tom yum gung, coconut icecream!! Yummy!

We had fun shopping everywhere...even in 7-eleven it is more interesting than here. They sell books, CDs, burgers etc. I got myself some snacks(gums, mints, Lay's, sunflower seeds and a raincoat).

Looking forward for the next trip.

Look at my luggage...before and after, but i admit i did not shop enough.

Monday 14 June 2010

i drove to KL

Today is the day i drove to KL, my first time. I parked my car in the open parking next to my office building. It is RM7 per entry. I made it! :)

Plant from Mid Valley

Here is an updated look of my plant from Mid Valley. No air, no soil, no water...just survive on sunshine.

It is doing great.

Bridge Bar

Last week went to Bridge Bar for a drink. Nice drink but a bit strong for the new driver me...ordered a long island iced tea. Taste good.

We saw some rainbows. Nice.

Monday 7 June 2010

nice lunch

I like this Pumpkin Sauce Noodles from the temple in Jalan Ampang. Very appetising and not much burden to my stomach. Comes with tasty shredded veggies such as beetroot, cucumber, carrot, pumpkin, seaweed.

Awesome! Yummy!

I am Back

Sorry for being away for sometime. I am back now. Went to Berlin to visit my kindergarten mate Mei Li and her husband Nick and 2 daughters-Vera & Nora.

It was a nice break. I didn't have rainbows everyday but I did enjoyed myself and increased my travel experiences.

Let me see if I have some pics to share.

Monday 10 May 2010

Chocolate Research Facility

My colleague went Singapore and helped me to get these 2 back. Nice..but kind of pricey. Check out the cool packaging.

Thursday 6 May 2010

sorethroat

I have sorethroat lately...and i found these at Ori Supermarket during lunch time. Nice and good, that's what i want to believe. I missed these traditional local products. So cute...and i think it works...that's what i want to believe.

Three Legs Cooling Water and Poon Goor Soe Herbal Lozenges. :)

Day 58

My sunflower is lonely. There are about 4-5 buds with little sunflowers. Jason said that this means my pot is too small.

Monday 3 May 2010

Day 54

On Sunday I accidentally killed a baby grasshopper fell off from my sunflower. Ewwwww. I feel guilty, but it means my sunflower will be temporarily freed from more biting.

Lovely Shoes-No Concept

My boss went Taiwan and me and Caroline asked my boss if he could help us to bring back these nice shoes.

I already had a pair since 2 years ago when I visit Singapore. The shop in Taiwan has better price. My old pair was Elephant and Giraffe. Already very worn out, but I am still keeping it.

This is my new pair. Bronze shoes with Bee and Flower. Lovely eh? If i could live til 78 as the fortune teller online said, and I buy a pair every two years, means I still can own another 22.5 pairs in this life time.

Thursday 29 April 2010

Day 49

My sunflower is so small but I still love it very much.

I bought a chilli plant and a gerberra few days ago, happily adding to my plants collection.

Sunday 25 April 2010

Sunday

Sunday was great with Yee Mun and May Chee. Went to Ti-Ratana Fun Fair early in the morning. It was a very hot day but it was fun! I got myself a nice hair band, a pot of chilli plant and a pack of cherry tomatoes, of course..endless food and drinks i consumed there!

After that we went to Sepang Gold Coast. Here is Yee Mun and May Chee posing and trying to disguise it as Gold Coast!

Went for dinner at Hot Chicken Pot (鸡公煲) in Cheras and ends with yummy cakes in Loves Bakery. I love Loves Bakery!!! Had the cakes there, it was great! I can feel the love there! I bought a loaf of Pumpkin Seeds Bread, only RM5 and but it is really high quality! We even asked the girl there if they accept students, but she said no. Haha!

Thursday 22 April 2010

Day 41

It is growing bigger and bigger...but look at the leaves. Poor leaves being eaten by by baby grasshopper...not sure about the name but something small and evil.

Morticia Addams at work

My colleague Shelley introduced a side of me that I never known of. Gothic chick!

Here's a pic of Morticia Addams wannabe, at work.

Outing with Chu Fan and Ding

Sunday was good. Although I was not so well after a hard night yesterday I am glad to see my rare artsy fartsy friends.

Ding brought her very nice polaroid camera and here is one of the pics.

Although 50% of our time we did not know where to go, but I think we had a good time.

Luna Bar

Shawna asked me out to Luna Bar on Saturday. Nice view but the cover charge was RM50 per head, otherwise we can opt to open a bottle. A bottle of Vodka is RM437 after tax. :( Too much!! Too drunk...but nice view. Jon joined us after that, ordered another bottle of wine. Too too drunk! Luckily i didn't throw up..but almost! :(
