Suee's Bday

Today lunch with Suee. Supposedly wanted to go to Royal Selangor Pewter but heard it is at Setapak!! So went to pick up Suee and she was kind enough to drive (using my car) to Umarani for banana leaf rice. Yum!

After that went drop Suee at Honda workshop to pick up her car and went separately to Rui Bakery. I have always wanted to try the cakes in Rui. The smell of baking was really pleasant..we had miffy shape cookies and a piece of strawberry shortcake. The coffee is so so..from Coffex but it is not bad. We had fun eating and taking silly photos.

When I got home, I just remember I didn't gave a little present to Suee...that I have bought earlier for her. Aiks...

Christmas is around the corner

Last week Suee gave me some really cool Christmas goodies.

We had fun playing the pairing cards. I told her this is way better than an LV bag. I just wish I have more friends who can appreciate this game to play with.

Birthday

Suee came to see me yesterday to celebrate my birthday. We went to Ichiban Boshi. We had some nice food.

She ordered an ankake soup and it was delicious. She said she will try to cook it one day.

We shared a nice sashimi over rice. It was with sesame oil, soy sauce and some chillies, so chinese style!

I got a nice soap from Kaleidoscope and a cute matryoshka ceramic dish and some capsule stickers. Thanks Suee and Huang Mei Li!!

nonsense session at T Forty Two

Last Sunday the nonsense gang gathered in Bangsar Village. AK, TV and me. It was such a long time ago since we last met AK...well...we last met him on his wedding day. Now he is going to be a dad soon!!!

We had fun catching up and talking nonsense. I guess that's what friends are for. I think the next gathering should be in Oct on someone's wedding. *ahem*

We didn't have the chance to eat the cakes there. It was not very appetising when we check it out at their counter. Maybe because it was late...7pm?? The drinks were fine. Nice couch though.

Yee Yan

Last Monday Yee Yan left a bag of goodies she got for me from Taiwan. I was very sleepy when I found this, but I thought it is such a nice view from my gate with the bag.

On Sunday we met again. I took her to Departure Lounge, we had coffee and some food. I love the turkey BTL sandwich. Awesome!! Even the coleslaw was delicious!

We also shared a pancake with banana. That was good too.

Most importantly, the company was very good. I don't see Yee Yan very often after we came back to KL. Maybe less than 10 times. It was nevertheless an awesome outing. We had great conversations and I felt very good after that. For a person so much younger, she is very determined and taught me about strength and courage. I will miss her when she goes to Singapore.

Dish Deli

Yesterday I went for chinese tui na massage and cupping. My back has so many red marks now, it is interesting to see.

After that, I met up with my language exchange friend to have lunch at Dish Deli. I bought the vouchers for RM18 per person.

My friend ordered Fisherman's pie. I tasted this before, I think it is awesome.

I orderd a roast chicken dish. Delicious.

My dessert: apple crumble with ice cream.

To have a lovely lunch with a main course, a drink and a dessert for RM18 is a steal. I am glad I bought the vouchers earlier from Milk A Deal. :)

Lovely dinner at La Risata

Today me and Mun Siong celebrate Kawati's belated birthday at La Risata. I couldn't believe how delicious it was. Even the bread and olive was very delicious. I like the pizza very much, it is called Pizza Vegetali with pine nuts, aubergine, cherry tomatoes.

The appetiser we ordered came later but it was alright. We had this baked aubergine with cheese and tomatoes, forgot the name though.

One of the highlight, beside the pizza is the baked seafood marinara! Yum!! We finished everything.

Lastly, we had Torta di Cioccolato, a flourless dark chocolate cake with a melting chocolate centre served with vanilla ice cream. Ooh la la!

I am very happy with the food quality and ambience of the restaurant. Definitely will go again.

A Sunday in Klang

I had not been to Klang in ages. Yesterday Ms Ding asked me out to visit Chu Fan in Klang. It turned out quite fun! We had bak kut teh, dry bak kut teh and fried fish. Then we had this awesome 摇摇冰。(shake shake ice).

It was a happy Sunday. I went to Empire Mall in Subang for the first time on the way home. :) Satisfied.

Sunday

Sunday was great with Yee Mun and May Chee. Went to Ti-Ratana Fun Fair early in the morning. It was a very hot day but it was fun! I got myself a nice hair band, a pot of chilli plant and a pack of cherry tomatoes, of course..endless food and drinks i consumed there!

After that we went to Sepang Gold Coast. Here is Yee Mun and May Chee posing and trying to disguise it as Gold Coast!

Went for dinner at Hot Chicken Pot (鸡公煲) in Cheras and ends with yummy cakes in Loves Bakery. I love Loves Bakery!!! Had the cakes there, it was great! I can feel the love there! I bought a loaf of Pumpkin Seeds Bread, only RM5 and but it is really high quality! We even asked the girl there if they accept students, but she said no. Haha!

Outing with Chu Fan and Ding

Sunday was good. Although I was not so well after a hard night yesterday I am glad to see my rare artsy fartsy friends.

Ding brought her very nice polaroid camera and here is one of the pics.

Although 50% of our time we did not know where to go, but I think we had a good time.

Al-Rashwa Restaurant

Kawati's birtday was on April's Fool Day but we only had time to celebrate for her on Wednesday(14 April). She picked Al-Rashwa Restaurant in Jalan Damai.

The food was good but it was too much for us. I was with Kawati and Mun Siong. Not exactly big eaters.

We ordered Lamb Mandy. The nicest among the dishes.

Mixed grilled dish lamb and chicken, come together with bread.

It was nice...but really a bit too much for us. There is a special drink there which looks like beer bottle, made by malt with fruits flavours. That was nice too. However that night I ordered a big pot of red tea with mint. Love it!

Weekend 3-4 April 2010

Nowadays I am not a big fan of going out. Sorry guys, I know I am such a pain. However this week I went out twice and here's the proof.

Saturday..out with TV trying to use my BBQ Chicken voucher. Just to learn that BBQ Chicken has closed down in Hartamas. We had Nam Heong Chicken Rice instead. It was alright, but I think Ampang Park foodcourt better :P

Sunday..out with Yee Yan to One Utama. Still wanna use up the voucher and finally manage to use it. The food was so so only. I don't think I will go again, a bit too pricey. Here is Yee Yan with the RM50 voucher. We ordered 2 sets of chicken, 2 drinks and a deep fried prawns dish. Bill came up to be RM53+
