Day 58

My sunflower is lonely. There are about 4-5 buds with little sunflowers. Jason said that this means my pot is too small.

Day 54

On Sunday I accidentally killed a baby grasshopper fell off from my sunflower. Ewwwww. I feel guilty, but it means my sunflower will be temporarily freed from more biting.

Day 49

My sunflower is so small but I still love it very much.

I bought a chilli plant and a gerberra few days ago, happily adding to my plants collection.

Day 41

It is growing bigger and bigger...but look at the leaves. Poor leaves being eaten by by baby grasshopper...not sure about the name but something small and evil.

Day 33

Sorry the pot looks a bit flooded but i think my sunflower is doing well. I showered my plant with love and of course water..twice a day.

Day 28

I put some fertilizer last week and yesterday. Hope it will grow bigger soon.

Day 23

Here is my Day 23 sunflower..did it grow bigger? Not sure, maybe just the leaf part. There are some unknown seeds growing in the same pot. I have to find out who was it from..my dad or the birds...will ditch them soon.

Day 19

Yesterday i found a slug near my sunflower! I was furious and scooped it away in seconds so that's why i didn't take a picture.

Jason advised me to separate my sunflower from my aloe vera pot. I found a big pot nobody is using and it is now the new home for my sunflower. I hate to think how much roots i have destroyed when transferring the plant. :(

Day 15

I have transfered my sunflower to a bigger pot. I cannot find any empty pots or anywhere good to plant it. So now it is sharing a pot with my aloe vera. I know this is not right...and i do feel bad. In fact i dreamt that my sunflower did not have enough space and outgrown my aloe vera. Aloe vera shrink and died. What a nightmare.

*Have to put the sign "DO NOT TOUCH" because dad might just pull it away. Happened a few times already.

Day 12- Sunflower in the making

I think it is Day 12 but i am not sure. Well you can see it is still in the little pot...i was away for one and a half day and i place a cotton wool under the pot and use a glade cling to wrap around it to make sure it has enough water. Well, seems that it is doing okay. More roots coming out and obviously it is growing..look at the leaf :)

Sunflower in the making

Jason gave me and TV some sunflower seeds. That was before CNY ok! I was so confident that i will have pretty sunflowers greeting me on CNY or maybe after CNY. To my disappointment, i got nothing growing. Ya..nothing!!! Mom cannot bear to see me disappointed. She bought 10 seeds from the shop and was trying to 'compete' with me. Nothing growing too.
On and off i tried many times, including trying to make it "sprout" in damped tissue in a plastic bag...can't too.
One day i took off the "shells" of the seeds and just put on wet cotton wools. I planted 2 and one was growing!!! What an achievement!
