Back from Osaka

I am back from Osaka after a 10days trip. I saw many shrines, old buildings, Billiken, crazy subway lines, a lot a lot of people.

I have experienced hotsprings twice.

I have eaten takoyaki and okonomiyaki, sashimi, ramen, oyakodon, unagi, sushi, japanese curry from Coco House and of course, local beer.

Most important of all, I have experienced walking whole day and night and not falling sick. :)

I have experienced having big blister on my feet and when I poke it, it sprayed all the way to the ceiling! :p

Language is a problem..I realised I have not been to a fully non-English speaking country, but I had no fear.

Photos..maybe later. Anyway I am glad to be back. :)

Books

Last week Agnes from meditation class recommended a book: Conversations with God, by Neale Donald Walsch.

Today my friend Peter whom I not met for over 3 years recommended a book: The Primal Blueprint.

I told them I will read the books. This is a reminder for myself...make sure I do.

Flower of Life

My Yoga Sutra class in Janda Baik was deep deep deep for me. It got me thinking...a lot. I was weak and tired when I came back...but I needed solace so I went to see my friend in Klang.

I was then being introduced, or rather reminded about Flower of Life. I found this very mystical and amazing. I want to learn more. I don't know anything but I am drawn to it:

I want to know more. This post is to remind myself to learn more about this.

Suee's Bday

Today lunch with Suee. Supposedly wanted to go to Royal Selangor Pewter but heard it is at Setapak!! So went to pick up Suee and she was kind enough to drive (using my car) to Umarani for banana leaf rice. Yum!

After that went drop Suee at Honda workshop to pick up her car and went separately to Rui Bakery. I have always wanted to try the cakes in Rui. The smell of baking was really pleasant..we had miffy shape cookies and a piece of strawberry shortcake. The coffee is so so..from Coffex but it is not bad. We had fun eating and taking silly photos.

:D

When I got home, I just remember I didn't gave a little present to Suee...that I have bought earlier for her. Aiks...

Yoga Retreat

I know I have been spending money...but we can never get too much pampering right? Moreover this one needs to do some work. How? Anyone interested? HML I wish you can go with me...but you are so far away. RM350 from 8.30am - 1.30pm. Price is RM350 or RM290 (early birds). Date: 16 June 2012. So how, should I go? Or should I just do some minutes of yoga at home and go to some spa around here? More info here: http://yogahui.com/2012/03/27/yoga-pamper-retreat-16-june-2012/

Red Cabbage

Yesterday I wanted to buy brocolli to with pasta...but you know what...only one very small pathetic looking brocolli in the entire supermarket..which I can manage in half a bite..and it costs RM4.99! So forget it, I got myself a decent looking red cabbage for RM1.70, enough for me to cook for 5 times, seriously!

So I stir fried some minced garlics, red cabbage, an egg and some angel's hair and (cherry tomatoes, romaine, butterhead)--I cooked very quickly for these 3. It was delicious and I was filled with energy for the whole day...which later allowed me to wash my car under the hot sun.

Today I tried to do the same..anyway it is another 4 times to do ...I only cooked very little angel's hair this time. I did a variation...put in a chopped tomato instead of small ones. Still with minced garlic but I put in some dried shrimps...*sizzles sizzles sizzles*...voila..fantastic lunch!

I really love red cabbage so I really have to blog this so more people will appreciate red cabbage. <3

Once A Year

Today I want to compile a list of things I would like to do once a year:

1. Dental check
2. Health check
3. Hammam spa (i love this Turkish bath and gommage in Bangsar Village, it is not cheap that's why I think once a year is good and i can have something to look forward to. I heard they will be opening one in Publika).
4. Crabs eating with sis.
5. Liver and gallstone flush (i think the last time i did it was 2010, it's time...)
6. Book fair..be it the one in KL Convention or places like Kelana Jaya or The Mines..i want i want...but if i am really deprieved, i will go to BookXcess in Amcorp Mall.

Let me know if you have any suggestions for me. I used to donate blood once a year, but the last time i was agitated by the people in the blood bank, don't think i want to go again.
